1. Double rotor flowmeter II, working principle
Double rotor flowmeter is a uniquely designed volumetric flowmeter specifically used for measuring liquid flow rate. Its working principle is based on the meshing of a pair of spiral rotors with special tooth profiles, and there is no relative sliding between the two, without the need for synchronous gears. The rotational power source of the rotor comes from the small pressure difference generated by the fluid at the inlet and outlet. As shown in the figure below, at a certain moment on a certain cross-section, although a pair of rotors experience different fluid rotational torques, the resultant torque of the rotational torques on all cross-sections remains equal for both rotors. Therefore, the two rotors rotate at a constant speed and equal torque to ensure balanced displacement without pulsation. Each rotor can output 8 times the volume of the cavity per revolution, therefore, the rotational speed of the rotor is proportional to the cumulative flow rate of the fluid, and the rotational speed of the rotor is proportional to the instantaneous flow rate of the fluid. The rotational motion of the rotor is transmitted to the meter counter through a magnetic coupling, and the counter displays the flow rate through the flowmeter (flowing through the pipeline). This design enables the dual rotor flowmeter to have high precision, stability, and reliability, making it suitable for various industrial applications.
